AUTHOR: Penelope Hobhouse is one of the most revered exponents of horticulture and international garden history. Her numerous books have provided inspiration to gardeners around the world. She has created gardens in Britain, France, Italy, Australia and the United States through her successful international practice. Between 1980 and 1993, she and her late husband restored and revived the Arts and Crafts garden at Tintinhull, a National Trust property in Somerset and, most recently, she has also been involved in the restoration of the Aberglasney Gardens in Wales. Ambra Edwards is an established, award-winning gardening journalist and writes for national newspapers and magazines, including the Guardian, The Telegraph, Gardens Illustrated, Country Living and Hortus. She is the author of several gardening books, including Gardening in a Changing Climate (Anness, 2010) and Head Gardeners (Pimpernel Press, 2017). She also is an occasional lecturer and tour guide and three times awarded GMG Garden Journalist of the Year (2015, 2009, 2006).
