Returns Policy

 

Delivery 

Any book - and any order - qualifies for FREE UK delivery. 

Many of our items are in stock and ready to despatch from our warehouse in Westbury, Wiltshire. These items are labelled as '2-6 working days'. 

We also list items that we do not have currently in stock, but are available for us to order from the publisher for you. These other items will clearly show an estimated delivery time, such as:

  • 4-8 working days, 5-10 working days, 6-15 working days. These items are not in stock at our warehouse, and the delivery time set on their product page is based on how long a publisher or distributor takes to deliver the book to us, and including the time it takes for us to deliver to you.   
  • Pre-orders: these items are not yet published and will despatch on the day of/ the day before the publishing date, depending on copies being delivered by publishers.
  • Awaiting Stock: We have ordered copies that are in the process of being delivered to us from the publisher, These can take anywhere from 2-6 working days to arrive to us, and then copies will be dispatched to your address with our 2-6 working day delivery.

 If you have ordered items with different lead times,  we will part-dispatch your order and you will receive each item as soon as they become available across multiple deliveries at no extra cost.

 We try very hard to provide accurate stock and delivery information. However, if you find you are waiting longer than you expected, you should contact us for an alternative solution or a refund.

 Orders are sent via Whistl, and delivered by postal services depending on weight. This could be Royal Mail, Evri or Yodel. We cannot change the courier upon request as this is all depending on weight of the parcel.
 
We post our books in cardboard packaging, which can be recycled in many recycling centres and is easier to open than plastic. We use book sleeves that are designed to protect the books as much as possible during posting.
 
 
Returns
 
Please note: the following terms apply to orders placed DIRECTLY through agreatread.co.uk.
 
  • You may return* any item(s) for free using Royal Mail Tracked Returns if it is in new/unread condition, and within 15 days of receipt if you are in the UK.
  • Any items returned using the Tracked Returns service after 15 working days of receipt and within 30 working days will be processed with a £3.00 deduction to cover the cost of return.
  • If you have received an incorrect, faulty or damaged item, please inform customer services within 15 working days of receipt so that we can resolve the issue. Please do not send back damaged or faulty items without informing customer services first, as your return may not be processed correctly without the relevant information.
  • We do not accept returns after 30 working days of receipt.**
  •  Unfortunately we can not offer exchanges. 
  • Refunds will be to the payment method used for the purchase.
  • You should expect to receive your refund within 10 working days of giving your package to the post office, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper, the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request.
