The website began as the online home of A Great Read Ltd: a UK-wide mail order book club which had its genesis in a club run by Book Club Associates (BCA). Since 2002 the club has changed its operations and expanded to incorporate a large selection of general interest and special interest books: from the latest celebrity biography to exciting new fiction; and cookery books to academic tomes.

All of our books are discounted by at least 10% - and often much more! To qualify for the discount you must become a member. We keep postage and packing costs competitive and often run special promotions.

Benefits and Conditions of Membership

To become a member you must agree to allow us to contact you by post or email. We will occasionally inform you of offers that we think will be of interest to you based on the types of books you have bought from us in the past. For example: we currently run a Christian book club which has been in operation for over 15 years. Membership has a number of benefits: You will receive a FREE monthly magazine full of carefully selected books which represents the 'cream of the crop' of new titles being published. We will never send you anything you haven't specifically ordered. All we ask, is that you spend a minimum of £20.00 before 12 months elapses. The value of your initial purchase does count towards this minimum.
